Description
This project aims at characterizing the hydrogen combustion in fluidized beds, for the production of thermal energy using mean thermal power devices. A multi-scale approach, from micro to macro scale, will be used. A very fine characterization of the reactive flow will be carried out by the fully-resolved particle direct numerical simulation (FRP-DNS). The latter will be first conducted in a fixed-bed configuration in order to validate the reduced reaction schemes, developed within the project, against fixed-bed experimental measurements.
